About Us
Ultimate Hybrid Solutions (UHS) is a world leader in hybrid technology and performance. Hybrid propulsion is the fastest growing alternative technology to traditional engine-mechanical drive trains. Hybrid systems provide fuel economy and air quality improvements, the magnitude of which is directly related to the duty cycle and the hybrid configuration used.
The leading performance hybrid technology has been achieved in Denver on the hub route of the Regional Transportation District. This was the first hybrid vehicle to complete the Federal Transit Administration's Altoona testing. Our vehicles began carrying passengers in Denver in 1999. The 36 vehicle fleet carries over 65,000 passengers daily and has accumulated 2,000,000 miles of passenger service in Denver . Our buses have provided safe, clean, and reliable bus service for Downtown Denver since 1999. Four of our series hybrid vehicles are also providing shuttle service to passengers at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
Our technology was developed from a clean sheet of paper by advanced vehicle technology experts. UHS, could focus on developing the best hybrid solution because it had no prior investment in a component to protect. UHS vehicles demonstrate the dramatic performance improvements that are possible with a “series” hybrid design (in other words, an electric-dominant propulsion). UHS was formed to deliver the best possible solutions for today's vehicular needs. Our technology is built upon the strength of American entrepreneurship and innovation. UHS has received several patents for its hybrid vehicle inventions.
Abner McWhorter, UHS founder and CEO saw the need for an American company specializing in medium and heavy duty series hybrid trucks and buses. He saw the solutions hybrid technology provided to fuel economy and air quality problems, as well as national security issues. He then proceeded to put together the ultimate company to deliver hybrid solutions.
UHS vehicles are made in America and utilize American components, American workers, and American technology.
The technology is advanced series hybrid electric technology developed by TransTeq.
